Filled up tonight Diesel $3.29 , Regular $2.89, Premium $3.09. That’s just nuts when diesel is higher than premium.

We have to have our trucks so I’m glad we have CTD’s. Did the math on my 20mpg at 3.29 vs a gasser at 14mpg at 2.89 and I’m still ahead by about 29 cents. Not to mention the fact a gasser would have been wore out long before now if it had the work load and miles my truck has on it. No ricer or gasser for me!

....also add in the additional maintenence on a gasser(spark plugs, cap, wires, etc.) and the diesel looks even better.

I know your right! I explained all that to Mr Flash that's why he has a CTD now too. My hubby is such a smart man!

fuel prices

Well, this is one farmer who's going out of biz, if this keeps up much longer. My break even point was at $2.50/gal. For every quarter over that...let's put it this way....I can't raise my prices no matter what. The govt won't let me pass along the increases. Now the wholesaler can do whatever he wants, and so can the retailer, but I'm stuck.

Maybe I will buy that sailboat the wife has been longing for.........

expect it to hit the grocery stores too....
talked to a farmer here yesterday who isnt putting in a winter wheat crop.. cant afford to run the equipment and turn a profit on it.. he's better off taking the winter off.
and the local Co-Op here says theres a lot more like him....
$3.00 loaf of bread anyone?

BTW... RUG is at $2.19 here...Deisel( aka Liquid Gold) is still at $3.59...

I'm writing Bill Oreilly at Fox News. Hopefully if enough people write him he'll jump on this and make it a mainstream issue. This might put a little scare in the oil company bosses.
