we just got a fuel delivery at work.i just spoke to the delivery guy, he said that when he is filling the tanks for delivery, bio is already premixed in at 6%.
this was a private contractor for arco. has anybody else heard of bio being mixed with dino, and we don't know about it?

IIRC if they add Bio to diesel fuel for retail use they are required to have it listed on the pump showing the Bio percentage. If the delivery was for fleet/private use then yes they could of ordered the fuel with 6% Bio mixed in it and they are not required to have a lable on the pump stating the fuel contains 6% Bio.

Here in western Iowa some stations have 5% Bio blended in. Like he said they have a sticker on the pump. It is usually that ULSD crap, and I still hold out for LSD (up to 500ppm). I have heard that even the 5% bio blend adds alot of lubricity to the fuel, possibly more than some name brand addatives.

I actually prefer ULSD over LSD if it has a little bio blended in for lubricity. Even B2 with ULSD has better lubricity than LSD straight #2-- even better at B5 or B10 concentrations.

I had been buying B20 bio there for awhile at a Love's Truck Stop and my truck seemed to like it just fine, then all of a sudden with out any notice they stopped handling it,when I ask why the only anwser I got was I don't know we just did. That's been several months ago, I stopped buy there on Thanksgiving Day to fill up the wife's gasser and noticed on the diesel pump next to me it said in real small print 5% bio-diesel. Before when they had the B20 they were advertizing it big time.
