i am thing of putting a 12valve in my 85 chevy k20.i have owned a few 12 valves and a 24 valve truck,what i need to no is what is te diferance between the 12 valve motors from 92 to 98.if anyone has any info or no,s of anyone who did this or a similar swat let me no and if you have pics plese post them.thanx

 

theres a bunch of differences between a 89-93 12v, to a 94-98 12v.....as far as bolting them in they will interchange.....so either one will work with your swap....there's two swaps going on right now into your body style of truck..i know you've saw my thread and the fella going by bustedwrench is doing one in an 82 chevy crew

 

The 89-91's are a VE pump, non-IC, with 9mm injectors. I would not recommend them as the heads crack. Baby H1C turbo/18cm exhaust

The 91.5-93's, same as above except: 7mm injectors, IC and the 92's have a 21cm exhaust housing. Big H1C turbo/18cm exhaust

94's up- P-Pumps and HX35's. I think some 94's have a WH1C/18cmwxhaust housing.
