Hi ya'all,

I am wondering if it would be a reasonably easy swap a 97 12Valve 5 speed into a 99 24Valve automatic. The 97 is reg cab LB and the 99 is ext/cab SB. Both 2500 trucks, the 99 has 4.1 gear ratio and my 97 has 3.7 "I think".

Why would you want to? the 24V engines rev harder and you could just do a P pump conversion

Reliability mainly I think, although I have not owned a 24 valve b4.
