Picking the donor up this weekend. I'm getting excited. Double digit fuel economy here I come! I'm going to get the head o-ringed and 60# valve springs installed and put back together with headstuds for some future upgrades. Now I just need to find a shop in the Buffalo Ny area that can do the work for me or I'll have to ship it to Enterprise in Ohio.

So I'm seriously considering just keeping the 4wd tail section and running the t-case despite being a 2wd, mainly so I can have 2wd low. Especially reverse low, which would be real handy for the backing up heavy trailers. Reverse low should be more like what my Allison was. What do you guys think? Of course I'd much rather have a brownie box so I can have under and over since I'm running 4.10's. But I've been searching for one for quite some time now to no avail.

Picked up a 2wd tail section for 60 bucks. I'm not worried about any 4x4. So, I have the transmission kit ordered with triple disk billet converter with 500 rpm lower billet stator, and billet input shaft, hardened crank retainer, hamilton heavy duty push rods, mild performance rebuilt pump with 4k gsk, 60# valve springs and valve seals going in when they surface and o-ring the head, Arp head studs, kdp kit. All I need to do now is get exhaust, guages and full top end gasket kit. Am I missing anything? I'm trying to do it right. Reliability and durability first. Play second. This is a business vehicle. I basically want a towable 400-500hp. Compounds will be happening in a little while too. Stocker over s400.
