I don't think there are to many happy V-10 owners. All the guy's I know that went out and bought one back when they first came out, have since gotten rid of them. Most traded them off after the first year. None were happy campers, they all complained about the same thing, 5-7 MPG. and the things seem to drink while stopped in traffic.

We've still got a '00 3500 V-10. Best mileage it ever got was 8, and that was with a 25 MPH wind pushing it for 300 miles. I wouldn't get another one. They do go fast, but don't pull nearly as good as a diesel when loaded pretty heavy, and a diesel will get double the gas mileage easy. I'd like to have one in a 1500, if the gas was free. That would make lots of

Well they got one now, it's like 450 HP V-10 in a 1500 series truck, suppose to be a wicked ride.

I really enjoyed my V10. It was a good truck, and a hellava lot more reliable than the item now in my sig.

Why did I get rid of it? Long story.

yeah, ive heard of bad mileages and what not. but i never heard any worse than my 1500 360 haha. Actually my uncle owns a 2000 or so v10 ford. And the brother drove it and loved driving it so he wants one in a dodge. And he gets 11.2 hand calculated just driving mixed city and HWY and gets the same mileage pullin his 5thwheel trailer.

My old 460 Ford got 9 MPG all of the time......even in neutral. Still can't compare to the Cummins @ 18 MPG.
