I added extra 3rd gen cummins "c" badging on my '89 and later regretted it. I like my '72 with stock '72 badging. (all it says is "300") I don't need to let anyone else know what is under the hood... The people that know - know, and the people that don't - don't care.

I like that mentality of not adding the third gen badges. Another thought was to find a premium tailgate from a 89-90 cummins and add that with the original badging of the 85.

I just picked up a complete set of exterior emblems from a 91 CTD truck. I have the "Power Ram/Cummins Turbo Diesel" emblems for the fenders, and the long "Cummins Turbo Diesel" emblem for the tailgate as well. Also all the D250 and hood emblems...guy on craigslist for $25!!

I prefer the 1st gen stuff.
