Ford Excursion cummins swap (HPCR & 48RE)
It looks like the tach is on the SCP bus network to the instrument cluster and the crank signal is on pcm pins 21+22, and the cam is on pin 85+91. It is most different than the Model Year 2000 which I have so give that a whirl. Sorry for the confision but I didn't realize the year you had.
Well, i hope I'm doing this right, but I'm moving my tach discussion to a new thread so as not to steal 5.9's thunder. Again, great job on the swap, 5.9Excursion. My new thread can be found here(hopefully): https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...er.php?u=70481
Here's the new thread on the tach discussion. The link above went to your profile...

Here's a link to the valve body:
It's the first one listed... "ATS Selectshift"
http://www.atsdiesel.com/atswebsite/...odge/Valve.asp
The Controller is listed here:
http://www.atsdiesel.com/atswebsite/...e/ConStand.asp
A company called Powertrain Control Solutions makes the controller and ATS makes the valve body for the 48RE.
Here's their website:

MPG before was 10-11 all the time with the V10...
MPG after is now at 16.5, however that's alot of short trips (5 miles) and running around town. It's only got 6,000 miles on it too. Once it's broke in and I swap in some F1 injectors I hope to do better...

Update: one year later...
Still driving it everyday. Recently put some new pulling tires on my 01 so I put it's old tires on the Excursion. 35" BFG A/T's Looks alot better now as compared to the stock sized tires. I'll try to get some pics loaded up.
