Ford Crew on Dodge ext cab frame

Hi guys Has Anyone out there taken a ford body and bolted it to a dodge frame? I have a 93 dodge ext cab 4x4 with a 5 speed. The cab is in bad shape(floors, cab mounts, rockers, inner an outer are all stricken with cancer)I have tried locating another cab to replace it but with no luck. I do know of a 79-8??? ford 350 crew cab in pretty good condition. I was just wondering how much work is there going this route or whether keep searching for a replacement cab? Any thoughts would be appreciated

I know there are a couple guys floating around here on the site who have put cummins power trains in their fords, not sure if they swapped frames and stuff.

Use the search option in some of the different forums to try and find what you seek.

Ya, on Trucks they are doing about this same thing. It is a 99 2wd Ram 3500 Dually frame and running gear, and they are mounting a 70's Ford Crew Cab on it.

So has anyone found details or a thread on putting a ford crew on a 93 frame. I watched the swap on Trucks where the 1994-98 frames where basically the same length as a ford crew. The 1991.5 to 93 are about 6 inches shorter aren't they??? I assume the problem with having to move the motor back would not be an issue on the earlier frames. Anyone know for sure?
