I currently have a 99 24v quadcab shortbed 4x4 and would like the convenience of having a full crew cab longbed. At first I was looking into picking up a 92-97 F350 crew cab body and longbed and swapping my motor into the ford chassis.

I would have to get a ford with the powerstroke so the registration could work, but they are more expensive than a gas truck. So now I'm thinking of lengthening the dodge frame and putting the ford body on it. Any foreseeable issues? Or is this just a crazy idea?

 

Just buy a ford gasser and swap it. My 99 diesel ram is registered as a gas and came from factory with a diesel. County won't cangr it
