5r110 and CR in 2005 Excursion
I was wondering if the FORD PCM and TCM could be used with the Cummins CR engine. I was thinking specifically about an 04.5, 05, or 06 CR engine.
I know they recommend the stand alone controllers but I was wondering what signals the 6.0 ECM sends to the PCM and TCM.
Can the Cummins ECM be spliced into to send these signals?

Believe that would be like trying to splice an apple with an orange.When i have talked to the guys at fordcummins they have said the cr works better with the 5r110 due to having the right amount of hp and sometimes will not need a stand alone. Doing my 2nd 04 f350 with an auto is why i was asking them.
