Question for sled pullers....

I was just curious to hear what kind of temps others are making while going down the track. Ive pulled twice with my sps62 but my temps are still up at about 1600 before the end of the run.

Get a bigger turbo. Really though 1600 aint too bad.

Where does your gauge max at?

My gauge only reads to 1600 but the needle will go past that. Ive talked to several other pullers and they run much hotter than i do so i think i'll be alright. Especially after a cam, some port and polishing on the head, and some more timing

personally, I recommend black vinyl tape. Not as messy as duck tape.

3m post-it with numbers and a pointer on it pointing at the 750 degree mark for competition use. I only worry about EGTs when towing.

yep, mee too! That's why they call it "competition" lol All we're doing is seeing whose stuff will stay together the longest at the most extreme level.

I stopped looking at it after the 3rd hook. Anymore, when I'm done I blast the heater to get the engine cooled down and let it idle till things get back to "normal", then shut it off.
