thanks justin... its real thick steel so i dont think it will break, and the guy who welded it is pretty good.

i'll eventually get a set up like yours with the pintle loop and 5 way adjustment

Just one non pullers opinion.... but I'd spring for some different color paint.

Some red paint would net you at least a few more feet

On my sledpulling hitch the loop is bright orange! I think it looks different and helps it standout when I decide to put it on the truck just for kicks and giggles when driving around! lol.

can this be used in a sled pull? or does it HAVE to be a rigid loop? I built it a few days ago to use as a tow point for offroad recoverys. But never thought about pulling with it.

It is 2" soild stock. 5/8" backing plate, with 2....1/2" laser cut eyes laminated together. powdercoated it at work too. The clevis is a 1 3/8" with a WLL of 13 1/2 tons. I'm pretty sure the ID is at least 3" in the center.

but here it is............please inspect

Yes, that will work fine but eventually you'll want something with more height and a stable horizontal hooking point.

how many of you are pulling off the factory reciever with a 3rd gen, i took mine out and built my own reciever higher and closer when i installed my roll pan. the stock one just didnt look very strong.
my reciever is solid 2" with a clevis welded/fixed, i just welded it 1/4" low to be safe. but point of hook can be set in flush with tailgate handle. so the fixed design allows for the hitch to be closer.
