Pics and Videos of Friday Track Night
Finally got things together and was able to go to the track Friday night. Was really excited about the truck finally being back together. I hadn't ran the truck since October in Bay Town, Texas at the Diesel Nationals. I had a lot of fun but it sure didn't go as planned. My first pass, someone oiled down the track as I was getting close to running. So there was about a 20 minute down time while they cleaned the track. I have a nitrous leak so I turned the bottle and system off while they cleaned the track. When things got up and running again, I forgot to turn the system back on. I had no intentions of making a fuel only pass as I am now running the PPE programmer with light timing for nitrous. Needless to say, I was quite satisfied with the 11.41 @ 117.74 on fuel only with light timing.

Now for the buzz kill... My second pass, with the nitrous system fully armed and bottle pressure at about 1000 psi, I proceeded to the line with the highest expectations. 2 stages of nitrous is just too much when you have this much fuel and a non gated turbo. Please see video below...

I need to thank some folks that helped me along the way. I'll be looking for some additional help, as you can see.
Thank you to:
Brad Emmons @ B&M
Don M @ F1
Wade @ ATS
Tim Barber @ TRE
Dusty @ HTS
Richard @ Glacier Diesel
My brother -in-law James (Greyrig05) for the motivation!
Not quite sure what my plans are now. Either going to do an external wastegate (possibly big single with wastegate) or a huge set of twins.

Not exactly sure on the Flux's... maybe 5+? And it used to be the 1.0 housing off their compounds (the bigger one)
thanks,
john
ps-I'm actually working in Mt. Home AFB, just down from Boise, and will be there at the end of this week. Would love to maybe get together and see those compounds you got from Nathan. Let me know.

Man, I'm really sorry about that... that was horrible.
I hope that pieces of the turbo did not go through the IC and into the intake...
Good luck, bro...

Yea... no wastegate. A5k don't like lots of boost. They bend shafts and then.... well you found out. Sorry about that.... Time to go twins and some serious air.
I seriously doubt pieces of the compressor wheel can make it through the IC.
