Just to let you know what I have to start off with. 2001 CTD 5spd with 3;55 gears, edge comp, with cold air intake and 4 inch straight pipe, and a stock clutch.

1st pull. 2nd place out of 12 with a pull of 274.
Pulled in 3rd low, with comp box on level 5by5

2nd pull. 18th place out of 30 with a pull of 212.
Pulled in 2nd low, with comp off

3rd pull. 3rd place out of 8 with a pull of 238.
pulled in 3rd low with comp on level 5by5

 

Good results..

Track conditions probably were what lowered your distances... Pulling is also a luck of the draw thing in MHO, the more trucks that go down, the more torn up the track gets...

What weight did you pull? Did your clutch slip on the last pull or was the track torn up? Congrat, though! 2nd of 12 is not bad at all!!!

 

On the last pull the track sucked, is was all dust. And to top that off I thought I would be smart and go over to the right and stay out of all the ruts, well that side was even dryer, soon as I pulled over to the right I lost whatever traction i had, and was done .
