My first time at the 1/4 mile with the dodge

I finally made it down to the 1/4 mile and here are my results.

1st run I tried it in 2wd and spun my tires well beyond the 1/8 mile mark and still managed an 18.1 at 87mph.

2nd run I switched it to 4x4 and ran a 16.1 at 84mph as my truck decided to go into regen and started to lose power.

After a short hwy stint to clean it out( catalist was at 80%) I returned to the line.

3rd run matched me up against my first real compition an 01 duramax with some Banks goodies. I took him from the line all the way with a 15.233 1/4 at 88mph, he ran a 15.633.

My last run I used tow and haul with 4x4 and switched into 2wd at the 1/8 mark and ran a 15.1 at 88mph.

I was hoping to get into the 14's but my truck would just go into regen all the time.

My only mod is an edge juice with attitude run on the hot setting.

I am a little late in getting in here, but let me the first to tell you, CONGRATULATIONS on your first few 1/4 mile passes with your truck! It looks to me like you did pretty well. Congrats on beating the Duramax!

Keep working at it and I know you will get into the 14's! Good luck.

ditch the DPF then you won't have to worry about going int regens all the time. Let the Cummins breathe!

I am looking into getting rid of the dpf and egr. Any sugestions on getting into the low 14's without going into some major mods as I haul a 7 ton dump trailer for my buisness and need to keep some reliability in my truck.

CR trucks are easily capable of sled and drag on the weekend and pulling a trailer thru the week.............However yer gonna need all the help you can get if you dont plan to do the bigger mods (turbo, inj, cp3, etc...). Drop the spare, pull the tailgate, fold mirrors in, tape up grill (watch yer heat), run yer fuel down to an 1/8 or 1/4, run small tires(shorter, lighter, wider tires), traction bars (spring clamps atleast), maybe a tonneua cover (im guessing now), etc. I know I read every 100 lbs is worth 1/10th but im just repeating info I read. At this time I am NOT a drag racer.

get rid of that exhaust....i see you live in canada, therefore you dont have too worry about it as we dont have the emissions laws to follow. That will easily get you into the 14's
