Lets see'EM 1/8th mile times?

I just went to the track this weekend and ran some pretty decent times, ...or so I thought. I ran an 8.9sec 1/8th mile a few times, and Im just wondering what everyone else is seeing?

Also, Im about to add a Helix 2 cam, F1 springs, 12mm head studs, and Flux 1.8's to my setup. How much do you guy's anticipate my time dropping in the 8th mile?

...oooh and I have some squeeze on the way too!

Let's see those times fella's, don't be shy!

On my last track runs before the Flux 2s, and CP3 parts and the older Smarty software I ran 60' 1.91s, 8.16s 1/8 @ 87.1mph, 12.71s 1/4 @ 107.6mph. All of the runs that day were about the same with the Smarty loaded.

Hopefully now I can shave a little off of those times now.

8.076 @ 85.17mph with a 1.786 60'.

I'm not sure what the cam will do for your times, but Flux 2's alone dropped mine from 8.516 @ 80.30 to 8.134 @ 84.68. It was a difference of .68 in the 1/4!

7.62 @ 90.73 with a 1.69 = 60ft

fuel only, single turbo, huge tires and lifted.

the injectors may help you drop your times some but, not the other stuff.

Cutting a good light will help a lot for your 60ft, having a transmission that will hold up to it is a big help too.

A lock up switch is imperative to get them lower also. I think in my case the Smarty plays a big part because of how much it fuels down low. It will darn sure get you moving off the line.

8.9 @ 76.14 with real soft 60ft times (1.98). That was all she had but twins and sticks are coming.

I'll have to see if I can find some of the time slips. I cant exactly say for sure, but I want to say my 60ft was something in the 2.1 range, and mph was around 75-80mph? I'll get a definate on that.

My best time was 8.97.

The NOS I ordered should help my 1/8th mile times shouldn't it?

I can tell you what does change the 60' and its pretty easy to do. Try staging real shallow and compare it to a deep stage. With my gear jammer it helps to get a run at the light, even if it is only 6 inches or so. It is a lot harder for me to run consistent shallow because I get my best R/T with a deep stage... and thats what I do when bracket racing.

1.66 60 foot and a 8.21 1/8 mile on my 12.84 pass. For bracket racing I back off the launch boost and pull 1.75 60 foots, 8.30 to 8.32 1/8 miles and run 13.0s.
