The question is, if it came with a concrete bedliner and it was on a conveyer belt ....

But seriously....haha. Would you gonna set it up with 4 wheel drive? Gonna need some weight towards the rear to keep the tires down. maybe dogouse the firewall a bit to get the weight towards the rear?

a little mikey mouse ford 9" would snap like a twig under the torque these motors put out. and talkin about makin these hot rods sounds like someone plans on spendin big times bucks and a whole lot of work. but it will be well worth it if it gets done and workin right.

I thought putting a CTD in the back of an older van would be kinda cool,,,,
1st choice,,,, but really rare,,,,

2nd choice,,, but still kinda rare,,,

3rd choice and you can find these a dime a dozen,,,

Put a bulkhead behind the driver's area and sit the motor/trans right in front of the rear end.

i think your thinkin its not possible.... or at least that i cant do it. Well it aint gunna be here right quick, but its sure in the plans.

and yes, i know 8's it just stupid, but i want to be known to all the town folks that as the crazy guy with the truck that smokes a lot that will out run a porsche....

So im going to need to know where to get a balanced and blueprinted 12v block with pistons (oh i could bore it out so ill have a 6L cummins. thatll confuse them) and i needa know what kinda frame would be ideal. And what about an auto trans? What kind? what rear end? need some ideas....

OH I'm not sayin it can't be done at all it's just got to be very well thought out. As far as a motor and trans. goes you'd have to do some calling that 2nd pic would be sweet.

If your going all out, tube chassis is the way to go. The only way you could use a production ladder frame would be to use a modern Dodge 2500 or 3500 frame. By the time you cut and fab on the Dodge truck frame to make it fit under a classic body, and add a cage, custom suspension mounts and everything else you would need, you could build a tube chassis ( with an integral cage, perfect suspension geometry ) that would be lighter and stronger then the modified truck frame.

And I'm am crazy, but I know a 9 inch will work.

You could just install it into a Jeep frame and put a Gremlin body over it...

(And no intercooler. At the point of boost you're talking about, an intercooler is just a liability. You'll just want about 200 GPH of water injection...)

If you look in the second photo you will see the top charger is missing, it was still driven on the road (not too gently either) the day the pics where taken. It looked like a freight train with the exhaust blowing straight up out of the flange for the second turbo. Needless to say it is a way cool truck.

Hey! You found my truck!
I've been looking for more pictures of that truck ever since it was on eBay about 3 years ago.
More pictures, I need more pictures, more pictures!!!

From what I remember it was far from a stock Ford 9-in; 9 inch housing maybe, but filled with custom Strange pieces in a 3.00 drive ratio. It runs 8's in the quarter, I think?

One killer rig for darn sure. I have great respect for whoever put that thing together. He'll have to run it against my Gremlin someday.
