Sometimes Making the rear rigid Does not Help. If you do run the rear rigid hanging front wieghts is a must, trust me! The truck will do wheelies without wieght. and most promoters require 1"-2" of suspension travel
i dont do any sled pulling but common sense would say that, shocks are a form of give in the suspension so if you take that give away it goes onto something else that the strain need not be on, right?
maybe safer just building blocks if you are referring to sled pulling. they seem to work pretty well from what ive seen. I have seen some guys use the big all thread as stops in the rear but cant comment on how well it works
