DPM Dyno Results for Schied Diesel
http://www.dieselperformancemotorspo...05results.html
Congratulations to John Porterfield Jr. for another win. Folks, this is a very nice running CR Cummins powered truck.
Justin Williams opened the event with 528hp and held the #1 spot until Saturday. His 528 was done with a Industrial Injection Phat Shaft 66 turbo that lit really well (look at his TQ number).
From Mike and I, Thanks to all that gave us your business. We truly appreciate it.

Not to discredit those numbers, but they seem low for an event as big as Scheids. At the ODRA Dyno Days event held in Lewisville Texas on July 23, there were 3 trucks that went over 700+ hp. Where were all the big power trucks? (again, I'm not saying 500+ is nothing to discount). I was expecting to see at least 1 truck in the 700's and hoping to see at least one in the 800's?

I have yet to see 800hp on my dyno. 700hp is still rare. Take the bottles away and the percentages get even smaller. While I know there are trucks that might be able to or can hit the numbers, the percentage of trucks is small.

I'm not saying that 700hp is easy, NOS or no NOS. The fact is that Scheid draw's TONS more people than local dyno events, such as the one in lewisville. I don't know why the big guys pulling don't put their trucks on the rollers and wow the crowds. I agree, the proof is in the pudding, and the sled give the final answer who's truck is the strongest. But I would love to see some #'s that those trucks put out.
I do find it funny, to see how many 500,600,700, and yes even 800 hp Duramax trucks are being discussed on the Chevy diesel board, but yet the dyno results don't agree with that.

Obviously there is some serious consideration to be given for technique as well
