Boost Launching a 5-spd
How do you boost launch a 5-spd? I was watching a video while ago and the guy had a truck just like mine with 5-spd and he was building boost before he launched. I think his name is Kat or Eric, he's got a blue RC/LB 5-spd. If any of you guys know him, what all does he have done to it?

You would have to have your left foot on the clutch and brake and let it out very slowly, and have your right foot on the fuel. If there is another way I would like to know?

Are sure he was'nt letting up on the clucth slow while giving it fuel? That can seem like it's making boost seting still. My old 1gen will go from 10 to 20 psi fast like that and not really be moving much at all. It puts a hard pull on the engine wich make's the turbo spike.

No, he was sitting there for a long time just like an auto would, spooling his turbo, blowing smoke. I have the video if you guys want to watch it. Tell me how to upload it and I will post it.

i've always left foot the clutch and right heel the brake and toe the throttle. then ease off the clutch while holdin about 2200 rpm. stock clutch will not do this but a couple of times. then it's toast, with jelly. and not the good smuckers jelly either the cheap stuff that comes in the squeeze packages. or the park brake will also work. you have to try it a few times to get it down good but it works great. you could probablly do a lower rpm on a stock clutch like 1600 though.

ive launched several times at +30 psi with my dual disk. left foot on the clutch and my right foot is wide enough to stick it right between the brake and accelerator and push em both. Much easier that way!

Well this is a cheesy method but it worked for me
on two occasions, I used the left on clutch, right on the accelerator, and i used the club (the anti theft device thing) with my right hand on the brake, built some boost slippin the clutch (15 psi on a stocker aint a good idea) and went ahead and lifted off on the brake and well it worked once on a hard launch, second, clutch didnt grab for beans... wish i had a better clutch...

Yeah I believe that was a second gear launch. That's not my truck just a truck in a video I found. I was curious of how he was building boost like that with a standard. I think his name is Kat or Eric, the title of the video originaly said Kat, but in another video that I have of him pulling, they were calling him Eric. I was wondering if any of you guys knew him or something.
