I'm not really one to LOOK for races, they just sometimes present themselves to me. The only GOOD race that I have had so far that was even fairly close was an '06 Duramax with the Hypertech module in it...I beat him by about a truck and a half length or two in about an eighth a mile. All the others, I have beaten pretty badly. '02 Powerstroke, Acura RSX, "riced out" Honda Civic, stock Duramax, a couple Hemi's, Acura Integra....oh yeah, and my wife tried to race me in her '05 Matrix

Jap bike race

Cruising on highway with my GSXR1000. I came up on, rather quickly, a pair of ZX-7's. They saw me coming and got into the gas too. In return, I pinned my throttle and next thing I knew, I was splitting those two. I ran up right between them in the same lane. Something I didn't plan on doing. Due to my age, at the time, it seemed like the thing to do. My final speed a few seconds after I had passed them was well over the speed limit. Fifth gear and no more room on the tach. Never again.

my 97 4x4 CTD against a 5.0 mustang GT stoplight to stoplight. My old truck smoked alot "good ole healthy black smoke" so everyone wanted to try to race my old work truck. A mustang had followed me for about 6 miles on the highway screwing with me the whole way. I knew I could'nt beat him top speed So I waited, let him pass. Once in town I got beside him at the stoplight I beat him 3 different times launching in 4wd in the middle of town in broad daylight My old beast had the whole town covered in smoke. It was reported to local yokals and they still watch me every time I go through town Ive had three different trucks since then.

my best race had to have been the night after i installed my new downpipe and gauges... i was going out on a test drive and running my truck in 2nd gear goin 40 just to clear out my newly gutted cat... and i see this AMAZING looking reddish f350 that had been passing my house ALL DAY... so obviously i wanted to see what my newly found parts could do... we come up to a light that just turned red... and seeing how it was one of the later year 7.3's i knew it had at least 40-50 hp on me stock... and seeing how my truck had been DETUNED once or twice because it was going through trannys i figured he probably really had about 60-70 hp on me if my truck was stock... so i though.. "well with the intake, downpipe, and stacks i should be able to get decently close to him..." as i was sitting at the light (in 2wd mind you, didn't have time to say "hold on let me lock in the hubs!!") i started bringin the revs up to around 1400-1500 just enough to get that turbo spinning and i hear his turbo spool up... light turns green, i hear my tires squeel a bit but i still got a good jump on him... we kept nose to tail (his nose to my tail thanks to the jump) up to 3rd gear and once i hit about 65-70 (40mph) i let off and he let off, he turned to the left while i kept going straight at the next light, gave a couple little revs and i gave a couple back... wow that was long hope you enjoyed...

sparknotes: put new downpipe/gauges in and gutted cat (intake and stacks already on), saw awesome newer f350, raced at a light, sped a lil and i would call it a tie, not bad for a truck with 40-50hp less stock

Me and Steve Long raced at the TS race.. We both had 110mph trap speeds and our times were .01 apart with him being faster. I cut a little better light though.. haha.. Street races haven't been as close..

Lets see, April 27th at Memphis Motorsports Park test and tune night. Wound up beside a 2007 C6 Vette with window sticker still attached. I Cut a great light and hooked decent, he didn't and also spun. Ran the time in my sig that pass, and he posted a 12.76@119.2. Next time in the staging lanes alot of folks came up to congratulate me. Went to chat with the guy in the Vette. Found out it was a ZO6!!!! No lie. Have witnesses.

And before anyone says, yeh I know what they are capable of and of course the guy couldn't drive and was on street tires. Still funny though.
