Hey John, Which route did you go, DIY or buying a built one and installing yourself?

I found a steal on an ATS unit on EBay...guy came on hard time and was parting out his puller truck before he even got it built. I got a Banks converter from a freind of mine for $700 (new), and bought a BD flex plate new also. All told I am just under 4k for a Billet input, billet converter, billet flexplate setup. Plus I have my old trans intact and ready for me to monkey with.

So wheres a good shop to dyno at. I plan to hit irwindale drags the first chance I get.

Well the place we did the dyno at in Canoga Park could work but I'm not too sure they were really experienced enough with the computer software to make heads or tails of the dyno info, I got some really bizare graphs from them and one run they asked me if my truck could make 700 hp. I don't think so, 575-600 would be pushing it for my setup.

I want to hit the 1/4 mile again. Is Irwindale 1/4 or 1/8 mile? I'm trying to find out if Pomona has a street legal TNT day. Fontana does but that's a trek.

Irwindale is 1/8 mile only. Thursday nights.

With 4.10's I'm not sure I can run the whole quarter

Fontana has a street legal drag day coming up on March 7th. Also May Madness has a pretty good turnout for Dynoing if you don't mind a little traveling.

If you dont mind traveling a little bit, there is a place in Anaheim Iv gone to before.
Superior Automotive. number is 714 503 1880.
Iv taken my truck down there and they have no prob doing diesels.
Maybe give them a call and see if a dyno day could be set up.

Iv been hoping to find out when another NADM event or something like that is coming back to CA like the one in bakersfield last year. That was fun. Dyno, Drags, & Pulls all in one place.

I was there too. I was hoping for a Crude Drags III but haven't found anything.
