Twins, Twins, Twins, Twins, Twins............
It was time.
Every position above me was held by an owner, so with no place to grow, and nothing to challenge me, I get bored and restless.
I am not sure what is next for me, but I do know from the 16th to the end of the month, I have at least 3 trucks, and 3 engines, that deserve some long awaited dedication. After that I will see what comes.

With all the recent tuner improvements (EFI/SSR), the street primary sized can upsized from what we used to think was unstreetable. Last night we had someone request to build a set of towing twins running a S510's or GT5542
for the primary. Funny thing it is marginally streetable. but once full spooled or pulling the RV its going wicked set-up.
Going forward its going to hard to see the limits on whats really not streetable

Hey Tate, Brett and Mike, how did that ATS intake hose work?? Was there any clearance issues between that intake hose plumbing and the straight intercooler tube that comes off the Garrett and goes to the intercooler?
ASW Twins - GT3582R/GT4202-Steedspeed
Thanks for putting it all together for me guys. When I dropped it off you assured me they would be ready by the time I got back from my road trip and sure enough, Brett was waiting for me at the airport to pick me up in my truck when I got back.
First impressions?
So far things are great. Everything seems solid. The truck really breaths now. Driving around running errands yesterday was alot of fun. With everything I have on kill mode it is really really really hard to hit 1200 and if it does it is only for a second and a half at best. Crusing around town it looks like I am between 300 and 400 deg cooler across the range of city driving. If I turn down the box 1 notch or turn off the DrP it is quite clean. With everything on it gives a small puff when mashing the skinny but only for a second and then they light up and everything clears up. Seems like they start to light up about 200 rpm lower than stock at the bottom but once they start puffing there is nothing stock about it. Really seems to smooth out the power curve.
Transition from the secondary to primary is seemless. I had no problem hitting my PMT adjusted speed limiter - lots of top end. (The ricer really thought he had a chance.)
Truck is very noticably quieter cruising and at idle. Deeper exhaust tone, really nice sound. Can definitly hear the turbos when they spool. Operating PSI range seems to be up to 35 - 40 driving "confidently". With a more spirited foot they hit the 50 range with no issue. I think they can do much better than that but I will need a really big hill or a race track to be sure. Back to reality....
Turned the Torque management back on, turned off the Dr P, PMT on tow and only did a short trip with the trailer yesterday. Hit 1127 pulling hard onto the highway. Hottest I got it was 1250 but that was intentionally trying to get it hot (lugging uphill with a hot tune and the DrP back on). Under normal conditions I dont think I will see 1200 often. Cruising is around 700 - 900 depending on speed and conditions which is great. I was routinley around 1200 if I babied it towing in the past but any hill, wind, accelleration put me over a defuel point set at 1350. It was always defueld as it easily and often hit 1400 to 1550. I was hoping not to see 1200 and first impression suggests these are gonna do it. I set the defuel down to 1250 now and will probably drop it even lower as I relearn how to drive it. I am pulling in the mountains today so I will have a better feel for things after the weekend.
I think they can do even better as they get tuned in for towing.
The ebrake does seem a bit weaker as Brett observed. I will know more in the hills once I put some weight on it downhill. Will have to get my 110# springs put in and check for leaks at the V bands. May just be the extra volume in the turbos?
Still need to get them coated and get the incab controller put in, but first impressions are great.
Thanks again guys.
