TTVA motor in Edmonton or Alberta

Well, when it rains it pours. Looks like mine is on the fritz. Anyone know where can I pick up a new one without going to a dealership, or are there better aftermarket ones? From what I understand, this is not a hard part to change - do you think it's something I can attempt?

are you talking about the transmition throttle valve actuator? If so you can change it with simple hand tools should need a 13mm socket and an extention and ratchet. ITs on the left side of the trans and has 3 bolts holding it on and one or two electrical plugs i can't remember. once its unbolted it just pulls up off the shaft on the bottom. It would seam that they are common to fail as i have changed quite a few. I haven't tryed to source one aftermarket for a while so can't help you there, but maybe check dormans web site they might cover that and most parts stores can get dorman stuff.

Yes, that is what I'm looking for. Dormans doesn't seem to have it, but thanks for the tips!

So it turns out that NAPC doesn't carry these (new), but I did pick one up at Sherwood Park Dodge. Thanks rage_blue, it was as easy as you made it sound. Actually 2 bolts, one "pivot" and one plug. Best part is no more check engine light. It seems that was the problem.
