legal I could care less safe is where I am worried about I have a wife and two kids in the ruck with this all hooked up.

there was a 3500 dually comeing through an engine shop I used to work at with a 25 or 30' goosneek from the states loaded with parts all the time. I recall asking him once how he's legal. and his 3500 was 25-26K GCVW. no problemo........but you get 4-5 3406 Caterpillars on it and watch out

I think ya need a bigger truck.

I think having the 3500 with the LWB would be a little more stable, especially if there is any wind to deal with. Having the big hips will help keep you going in the right direction. IMHO of course..
