Since the site won't let me search......
What is the width of a stock rim on a 2007 MegaCab? I think I may have found a really expensive 35" tall tire I might take a look at. 35x12.5R17 is the largest tire I can fit even with a levelling kit - correct??
A 35 is going to rub a little, but not too bad. Yes, stock is a 12.50 rim.

The stock SRW wheel on 3rd & 4th Gens is 17x8. The dually wheel on 3rd & 4th Gens is 17x6.
I recommend a test fit.. Mount 1 tire on a wheel. See how the tire fits the wheel & then test fit it on the truck.

I'll make it through the rest of winter and all summer with as much as I actually get to drive the truck, but I will need by the end of August for sure.
I had 33x12.50 on 15x7 rims years back when I had my 4by F-150. Was a tight fit, but they worked. 8" would be much better, but it still might wear out the middle quicker than the rest.

I was trying to get away from the cost of rims too. 35" tires are spendy enough.
I've run 35x12.5R17 on the stock 3G rims on my '01 for quite a while now. They work-but the centres do wear a little quicker with the 8" wheels. I dropped the tire pressure some to compensate as I never ran close to GVW at that time.

I thought 34" is the most you can fit on a stock rim. Got that - 305/70R17 with 2" leveling and no rubbing
