Place in Calgary to get a head repaired?
Is that with machine work, rings, and piston.
Wow, thats one crazy price.
I want to price out some Ross pistons and get them coated with a thermo coat. I don't think that a stock cummins piston has any special coatings on the piston top or on the piston skirt.

Theres a guy on CompD that goes by Snedge, he runs Mumua diesel (or something close to that), sells all sorts of OEM Cummins parts. Probably a lot cheaper to go through him to get stuff like pistons, unless you want custom ones. Just becareful what you buy, you might lose a fair amount of compression going to different app pistons.
Tate, I still haven't landed on how much stuff I want to use with the diesel. If I go heavy on spray, methanol and more timing on the 12v, I might want to lower the comp ratio. I'm still doing bench racing, a decent running 12v with 4000 rpm limit is still lots of motor.
I would like to put this engine into a lot lighter truck down the road. I just want to build a killer 12v motor, regardless.
This summer, I'm hoping that I can visit some of these diesel shops and do some R&R into whats needed and how streetable the ride will be after I will be driving this to/from the office.
I learned a lot yesterday about the P7100, lots of fuel available.
