A friend of mine(paul) a couple of months ago got a 04 with 150,000kms on it for 10,000. about 9-10months ago another fellow(Roland) I know got a 03 for 11,000, his had closer to 250,000 on it he ended up needing a tranny about a week later, but the dealer came good for 1/2 the repair bill (work not done at dealership). there are deals out there. again Paul bought an 02 last week and had it sold before he even got it home he sold it for 7800$ it had over 200,000 on it. If I did not have so much tied up in mine, I'd get a third gen for sure

There is no way you could buy a legit 04 CTD QC 4x4 for 10k with 150k unless there is a problem like it was written off etc. Written off vehicles aren't worth anything, you'd be sick if you seen some of the vehicles they fix.

Clayh, if your truck is in great shape I bet you could hold out for 20k, it would be tough but possible. People are suckers for a clean truck.

Weird how people don't want the 6 speeds anymore, i had such a hard time when I bought mine trying to find a Laramie with the 6 spd, but then again I am so picky when it comes to shape.

As far as the guy not budging on the price, it's pretty decent already, but i'm sure if you came there with 1k under asking price, he wouldn't turn you away.

Just a FYI, Michener Allen and Osman Auction are great places if your looking to buy, I bought all of my first 5 there, only my current one was from a dealer. You have to be VERY careful as many trucks are garbage, and some go more then private sale value, but there is a lot of deals to be had.

A dealer coming good? Wow that is rare. I am STILL fighting with Grove Dodge almost 2 years later about my truck, thinking i'm going to have to sue the SOB's

Nope it was not a write off, it was bought from wataskwin dodge, dealer took it on trade and on inspection thought it would be too expensive and it would hurt their bottom line, it needed the 2 sensor/solinoids in the tranny, a couple ball joints/ or hub bearing and a couple other small repairs, the person who bought the truck for Paul has a dealers license and he buys from dealers, then takes them to Mitchner/Osman Auctions.he makes a couple dollars off the trucks instead of sitting on them trying to get top dollar. this is not the first truck they have gotten and he moves them as fast as he gets them. They also picked up in the same week a 2006 hemi 4x4 under 90k for 6500$.
the other dealer that went good for 1/2 repair was off of Fort Road, it was the dodge dealer as well, I think it was Londerry, I can ask to comfirm it.

Kev, that is a good deal. I wouldn't mind finding a wrecked newer truck so I could just take the parts that I wanted. Scrap the rest.
