Need a Gooseneck hitch for a chassis cab.

Hi I have a 2011 Ram 3500 Chassis Cab and searching the common hitch suppliers I can only find hitches for under box mount or my truck model isn't mentioned in the list of trucks.
I planing to mount a aluminum bed on the truck in the next few weeks and having the hitch in place before that would be great.
Any recommendations where I could find a hitch and who can install it in the Edmonton area?

The bed does not come with a set-up? Most Al beds have a steel frame work under the bed for the GN Ball or 5vr..

For less than $500.00 you can buy a Binkly 5th from Traction. Before I purchased any flat deck I would make sure it will accommodate any accessories like a fith wheel or ball hitch. My Falcan deck is designed for the hitch to flip up and my ball is a flip over, Trailtech has a similar set up. Most of them come as a package including the 5th wheel. Aluminum is pricy and most folks buy steel as the weight savings are not worth the price difference.

The truck bed I ordered has a trap door over the ball and I was thinking it would be more practical to get the hitch first and than drop the bed over it.
When it comes to Cab&Cassis trucks they aren't specifically listed and with the C&C having a different frame I'm wondering if they would fit.
I shopped for bed's around and found a aluminum bed for not much more than a steal bed I only have to wait a few weeks to get it shipped from the US as the Canadian distributer usually doesn't carry them.

Go to the link I gave you on your other thread the big pic shows the B&W 1500 Flat Bed System, the slide show (little pic) shows how I built it into the bed. You will need to build a sub-frame under your deck for the system - until you get your bed you won't know the location/height to make it..

Go here to B&W download the 1500 documents to get an idea what your looking at:

http://turnoverball.com/turnover.asp?page=support&pid=1

Keep in mind the B&W system has the most hookups available, such as GN Ball and the companion 5'r attachment..(note there is a companion for the pickup bed apps vs the smaller footprint on the flatbed companion.

B&W main page is here:

Trailtech and Falcan build decks to match the C&C frame (34") or the standard frame, go to Flaman in Nisku they supply a lot for a decent price. They use Binkly hitches in the Trailtech deck and are built from tube steel. I do not like aluminum up here due to the salted road ( Calcium Chloride: extremely corrosive) and the electrolysis caused by differing metals mated together. Aluminum does not show corrosion like steel but can't be sandblasted and painted to refurbish as easy. Aluminum is very brittle in the extreme cold and has to be mounted to the frame different than a steel deck. If I lived in the southern US I would definitely have an aluminum deck but the conditions here are different. Black Tremclad is your friend! Hooking up a trailer with a kingpin in the box scenario is special vs a hitch that flips up and is above the deck surface. Binkly's are rated at 32k lbs horizontal and 9k vertical with a full locking jaw like a semi (made by Holland Hitch).

There's a saying about Aluminum decks on some of the welding forums

"If you not an aluminum welder when you buy one you will be one in a few years"

But I will have the best looking truck in town that is before my welding skills gets put to the test on the deck
I happen to be looking at a race car trailer with living quarters from the same company that is 11 years old and looks incredible.
Wen I wouldn't know better and by the dated furniture in the RV I would have guessed the trailer is only 4 or 5 years old.
There are lots of ATV's and snowmobiles around here and the put a aluminum flatbed into the box of the truck and park there ATV or snowmobile atop.
When the day comes and I part with the truck I think I have no problem finding a person who would love to have a aluminum bed to park his snowmobile onto.

Got the truck bed on monday and bolted it to my truck.
The installation was easy too, nice thing about aluminum bed is it's light so I could move it around easily by myself to attach it to the frame and centre it.
Still have to do a few things like mud flaps and the lights on the front corners and the fuel filler neck.
Friday I get the B&W hitch installed under the bed too.

Goes for trailers also! The first thing I did when I bought my aluminum gooseneck horse trailer was work on getting rid of it!! That thing would develop cracks all the time. It spent more time at the welders than at my house.

If I ran straight smooth pavement, no problem, but gravel roads and rough/poor pavement, no way.

good choice on the b&w hitch, i have the same set up with my flatbed and am very happy with it!! would much rather pull from the frame then pull from the bed.

I got my B&W hitch installed today by Spruceland Truck and Trailer in Spruce Grove.
They did a great job installing it as it turns out there is no hitch made for the 3500 Cab and Chassis with the 34 inch frame so after talking with B&W they could modefy a hitch for the regular 3500 to fit the narrower frame.
They went the great length to offer me a workable and affordable solution to my hitch problem, other shops started immediately talking custom build and big bucks.
