Had to get my ball joints done today, kinda figured I would have to sonner or later. Had my truck into a Dodge dealership for noise up front again, they said need new ball joints all around, front left axle u joint was worn and passenger side was suspect.
I told them the DS axle was new 2000km ago and the PS axle u joint was replaced 2000km ago. They still stood their ground but cold not tell me how it was worn or suspect. Needless to say they didnt do the job.
It seems that I have a dry wheel bearing though and not able to do anything about it. It also has 2000km on it.
I am kinda wondering now if these units have come with insufficient grease in them from the factory. If so are their any recalls from SKF or other suppliers of wheel hubs.
Dodge recalled 2006 Dodges for hub failures.
Next question whats the cost of replacing a clutch start to finish inclcuding the clutch complete. Not looking for anything excessive.

On the hub. Remove the tire and follow the wire to the sensor. It takes an allen key to remove the bolt then the sensor is a press fit that you can remove with your hand or gently with a screwdriver. The sensor works on magnetism so the grease will not interfere with its function. I believe that the rotation and brake heat forces the grease throughout the internal parts.
