Before I Spend More Money

I have a 1999 Doge 2500 CTD with a BullyDog Stage I Kit (no guages though), 4.11 gears (but 35" tires). I talked with them and was going to get 100hp injectors, new torque converter to match it all and valve body. I like the added power I have so far witht he stage I kit (estimated 305 hp, 600 ft/lbs from BullyDog). I've been having tranny slippage so I need to do that regardless but I wanted to know if injectors were the next best step so I can count on that extra power when I have the torque converter built. I use it as a daily driver but love to blow the tops off the little sports cars around here. I just need more. Funds are somewhat tight but I've got about 2500 total to do my tranny and upgrades. (local friend is doing the tranny work for free at his shop because I did his suspension for his off-road race truck). I'm looking at $1500 for the tranny parts so I've got about a grand to spare.

Next step should be guages. Im not as involved in 24v's, but i would guess injectors or a bigger box. After that you may need a turbo. Get some guages though, at the VERY least an EGT gauge.

Can you recommend a decent set of guages or is there something digital that shows everything and plugs in easily.

I think that you can get a digital style screen that displays egts, boost, and fuel psi. I think its called an x-monitor. http://www.bd-power.com/ram/product....0Gauges&tt=ram

Most people use Autometer, DiProcol (sp?), Isspro (sp?)

You can find most of those in the links section in most vendors.

Don't skimp on the trans to add other bombs. You'll end up shortchanging both the trans and the other bombs!

Remember-- you can have anything you want, but you can't have everything!

I'd focus on one thing at a time. Do the trans and do it right. Then maybe down the road add more bombs.

Getting the tranny done will actually FEEL like you added more power because the truck will move out!

No insult intended here to your friend! But you may want to show this to him, just in case his 47RE Tranny experience is limited.

Agree with Justin above...Do the tranny right the first time...money well spent and the difference from stock is really impressive!
Good Luck!
