Well now that they voted to get rid of the registration...Can a person sell a long rifle as of Feb 15? Or does it have to pass through Senate first before selling a long rifle?

Housing is too densely populated for that.

Kinda funny actually that the wife and I picked this area to move to as we didn't want to be too isolated and far from town. But since we moved here 6 months ago we've both commented on how crowded it feels.....
Years ago before any LIBERAL firearms crackdown,i believe it was 500 feet per second and under for a air rifle/pellet gun before a permit(FAC) is required, last one i bought in the late 80's was 495FPS,enough to weed out the local squirrel/gopher population.I still have my first gun given to me by one of my dads friend when i was a younger dude ---Daisey lever action BB gun(1977),probable put 50,000 BB thought that one,had to do plenty of chores around the house to support my habit. To bad your to close to town/people,a decent .22 caliber is good for 100-150 yards with anywhere 600-1500FPS depending on the load/round,enough to kill coyote/fox ect.DW

if u wander the pawn shops, u might be able to find one that goes a bit faster then 450 fps then u wont have to worry about them pesky critters at all.

cant wait for guns to be unregistered

I picked up a Ruger AirHawke 490fps. Its about all you can get without a PAL. Still trying to get it sighted it, but its close.

So when the ACT gets repealed what will a PAL be needed for. Was thinking about getting my PAL so I could get a 1000fps air rifle but if I won't need one in 6 months then I wont bother and just wait it out.

I was under the assumption that the licensing (PAL) thing was completely separate from the registration thing, therefore we would still need to take the firearms course and have a license to buy a gun or ammo. We would just be able to avoid registering the gun. I sure hope I'm wrong though.
