Lift questions
I tried searching the forums for some info, but as always it was all over the map without any real experience to back it up, so i came to the good forum.
I'm due for tires and just broke a rear spring on my truck, so now I'm thinking about lifting it since ill have the springs off anyway. Been looking at the carli starter set as well as a sway bar while im at it.
Does annybody have any experience with these parts or a recommendation for other quality kits or upgrades for the front end? looking for about 3 inches of lift front and back, dont want to run anything bigger then a 315/70 on the factory rims.

Why do you want to run a lift? Wheel clearance issues? I think you'll have some light rubbing using those tires size stock. I run 33in tires, I only rub on the running boards.
Its more about what your going to do with the truck to me. I tend to bottom out on gravel roads, the front lift help me not hit so hard. The truck doesn't handle as well, and wears front end parts more frequently. I don't use my overloads as much now with the lift.
I have a kore front/rear recon lift, nothing wild. I like the ride quality better than stock. The only real down side is I hate loading up the bed as its higher now. You also need a drop rear hitch reciever if you tow.

I dont really care about running the larger tires, its just the clearance under the belly of the truck that I'm worried about. Thanks for the info mike.
I priced out leafs for a factory height on the back and its 800 bucks which is about half the budget i wanted to spend total so the lift kit is put on hold anyway. A moderator can feel free to wipe this thread out if they like, I cant see how to delete it.

i have the carli starter kit. if i get another dodge it will be my first mod. money well spent. the only thing i would do differently next time is go up a kit or 2 and get the full leafs etc. mostly because mine were bagged though.
i got mine through bigdog in calgary and asked them to match another price i had which they did

Kore on the second genner and Carli will go on the 07 dually.Kore "Recon" did help with the front end ride on my 01(no more bottoming out) and my 2200LBS pin weight of my 12500LBS fiver just levels the truck out nice when pulling. The Road Armor bumper plus Warn winch adds about 325LBS to the mix.Carli seems to have better reviews/more popular now, probable just do a "starter system"as i will put similar bumpers(Buckstop or Trailready pre runner)+Warn 16.5 TI winch as well on the 07.The Kore rear helper springs did there job,at the same time i picked up my trailer a 06 D-max with a 3 inch lift was picking up a similar size trailer as mine----his looked like it was "squatting to take a dump" after he hitched up.He asked a lot of questions about what was done to mine and was not impressed with the Chevy/aftermarket suspension.
