How good are XRF ball joints?
Well I rebuilt my front end in my 04' last winter with Moog ball joints and 30,000km later I'm pretty sure they're pounded out. I haven't jacked the truck up yet but from the noises coming from the front end (lots of clunking) and they way the truck drives, I believe they are the culprit or at least the lowers are. Now I know moog ball joints aren't the greatest but I was in a pinch at the time and had to have my truck on the road asap. I guess running 35" tires and a road armour bumper hanging off the front end doesn't help with longevity
Anybody running the XRF ball joints? They seem to be built fairly tough but I don't want to have the same problem down the road. Maybe I should just spend the cash and get the Carli setup? I'm probably gonna run this rig for another 100,000kms and get rid of it, provided something major doesn't grenade on it beforhand.

You are probably better off spending the money on the Carli ball joints. It has been my experience that the other ball joints available will just not stand up to the use/abuse that most people put their trucks through. If you are in the Calgary area I would recomend Big Dog Performance. They have always treated me very well.

I second Carli for your next replacement. If I remember right, they carry a lifetime warranty also but don't quote me on that.
Another source for them is Baja North out of Kamloops, B.C. http://www.baja-north.com
Ask for Craig and tell him Jeff the donkey guy ( I raise miniature donkey's) sent you, he will look after you very well.
I've known these guys for a whole lot of years and they go the extra mile.
