Hood for my dually

I've been thinking of installed either a cowel or viper hood on my truck...Do you guys think I should do it??I don't know if it would look good on the regular cab dually..

My sister has the regular cowl hood on her truck, I like it. I'm not fond of the viper hood at all. Looks hokey on a 3/4 or 1 ton truck, IMO.

Thanks guys...Been thinking about it for a while....But don't want the truck to stand out....I'm also getting rid of the silver pinstrip and trying a air brush black fade blend into the red paint...

From what you describe, the cowl hood would be the ticket. Noticeable, but not obvious. That fade stripe sounds pretty trick!

Dave, those hoods you have pictured are steel Reflexxion Hoods.

http://www.reflexxion.com/rfx/

Deb (Lil Leadfoot) has the Reflexxion Viper style on her 2nd Gen.
DiggerDave also has the Reflexxion Viper style on his 3rd Gen. Fitment isn't perfect but way better than any aftermarket fiberglass hood than I've ever seen.

I much prefer the smooth & simple cowl induction model.
Unfortunately, the only smooth & simple cowl induction hood for the 3rd Gen's is fiberglass.
That's why most 3rd Gen guys go for the factory SRT-10 hood like Brad's.

IMO, a cowl hood only belongs on a Chevy

How about a couple of them Lund stickon hoodscoops??

i do love my srt-10 hood, adds a real agressive look to it. if someone had the time it would look sweet to mold the cowl section of an srt-10 hood to a second gen hood. But who has that much time

If you want to see the plain cowl hood, let me know. Like I said, my sisters '98 has one, looks real nice.
