help--brake proportioning rod
Hey guys, just posted in the 2nd gen no drivetrain forum--I'm trying to get a '98 24 valve through the out-of-province and I need that little proportioning rod that hooks between the rear axle and the brake proportioning valve. Even if I could borrow one for a few days just for the inspection, and wire up the lever afterward . . . . Any of you able to help out?
Even a part number would be great, nobody can figure out what I'm talking about at the parts store or the dealer . . .

yeah, they already did. I have a few things to fix but the truck was worth it. I called a couple wreckers here in Edmonton and nobody had anything, but there are still a few to call.
There was quite a list of things to fix, but only two that I'm stuck on--the missing rod and the air bag light is on. I replaced the clockspring, cruise buttons work, so looks like a dealer trip for that one .

I would consider finding the service bulletin from Dodge, and ordering the hose that eliminates the whole load-sensing valve. Then you never have to worry again.

This looks like this is the TSB:
The hose p/n is in the bulletin...

That's the one, just came across it in a post here. 75% GVW and ride height altered . . . . not sure if that will fly. HMMMMMPHH. I hate out of province inspections . . .

Yeah, it should be ok. Mebbe what I'll do just in case is go ask him about it, inform him of the TSB and get his OK on it before I go to all the trouble of opening and bleeding the brake system.
