brake proportioning valve rod
brake proportioning valve rod
Hey y'all, I'm needing some help here--I realise from what I've read that there may be better solutions, but I'm trying to put my truck through an out-of-province inspection so I can register it here in Alberta, and the inspection facility wants that rear load sensing valve rod in place. Trouble is, the truck didn't even have one when I bought it.
If one of you has one that they pulled off or is parting a truck and wants to sell it, I'll buy it. Next best would be someone local who would let me "borrow" the rod for a couple days for the inspection, after which I would probably just zip tie the lever. Third best solution would be a photo and dimensions so I can reproduce it hopefully.
Thanks!!

Yeah, lots of them but almost no 1998-2000 Dana 80 equipped Dodge trucks. They quit using that system when they started with rear disc brakes, so it's a pretty rare thing.
Seems most of those trucks are still on the road . . . .
Might have found a way around it though, there was a TSB for eliminating it on certain trucks.

My truck had the load sensing valve. I removed it when the brake line going to it rusted out. To honest the truck stops much better without it, except when I panic stop the rear abs actives but it doesn't bother me.
