Got the wheel alignment I wanted
John, I remember reading that about the earlier trucks. Phone Ross at solid steel, he's very good at this suspension stuff. I don't think that you have to remove alot of material to put in the track bar, but call solid steel to get the straight scoop.

I think talked to Solid Steel , and they did not not have a recommendation other than how they put the kit together [ which would work just fine , if I didn't want to have the option of returning to stock ] .
Just thought I would join the thread for 2 reasons , these are good products & work , but in my situation [ a 94 that requires the kit with drilling ] and able to return to stock [ so I can use on next truck ] .
Just trying to have my cake & eat it too .

You have a picture of how the bar is set-up. I'm going from memory, and its getting fussier by the day.
They do sell Luke links to stiffen up the ball joints. I just bought mine from PDR. It add more stiffness to the joint and help reduce wear/wiggles. You could also buy a Moog bar and it has a time time warranty. You'll just go thru a few of them.
My set-up with a 3in lift front and rear, is as good as stock or better for handling the corners. I'm running tiny tires, 285 by 16R, so the side wall dont flex as much in the corners. I do get extra ground clearance for the frost heaves and runts on the road that we get up here. Pushing mud and snow year round is getting old. I just want to hammer the hard pack gravel roads. I just hate bottoming out on jumps and dips.

Are you talking old farters ?
I know how that works .
The ball joint that I am talking about is the one that the upgraded track bar & kit , eliminate at frame , the next yr. or so dodge went to a larger size , do not have to drill out , then just a bolt goes through that hole .
This is a design flaw from dodge , I think its a very bad idea to have a ware point on truck that is welded to frame .

Yes....I do remember now of a piece that was welded on the 94 models and not on the later models..You have to mod that support bracket to get the track bar on.....I looked at it....What a pain...
