Mike,

Let us know how it drives after you get the alignment done.

I'm also going to phone around tomorrow and see what the other shops do to dial these truck in. PSC no longer builds firm feel gearboxs. Too many warranty claims, not enough $$$
I forgot that Russ gave me those specs long time ago...Let us know how it works...If its better then I will get Ian to adjust to those numbers

Hey guys just want to share this with you guys.

I just had my truck wheel aligned to the values that DSS recommended. It sure improve the handling and settled the truck down on the corners.

I have 5 deg's on the caster, toe-in at -0.01" on both sides. Before I had 4 and 3.5 deg's of caster. Each time I move the truck more forward, less wandering.

So far I haven't seen any down sides to moving the front end that much forward.

Anybody now how much this effects the pinion angle on the front axle? I don't think that it rotates the housing, but I've been wrong before.

I saw this some time ago , but haven't gotten all done yet , have the Solid Steel parts , the brace installed , but haven't put in the adjustable track bar yet-the 94 needs the adapter kit - bar to frame , with that it you have to drill out the original tapered ball joint hole , larger , I am wanting to keep the hole stock so that I can keep bar for next truck , this one is getting rusted & banged up .

John, that 3rd gen track bar up grade, is about the best mod for these trucks. Installing the bar was a piece of cake, mine was a direct bolt-in. Mines also adjustable length track bar. Your is slightly more work, but still a quick easy upgrade. I should have done that mod right after I bought the truck 7 years ago.

Thats great Mike...When I lower my truck I may try those specs. My specs are caster 3.2 and 3.5 and toe of -10.These came from the dodge.org site.Once I put in the aftermarket soild steel track bar and steering bushing the truck handled great...

John...You will see a big difference when you get your 94 done...If still not good ,install the steering bushing...Thats where I really seen a improvement.

I just had to bug and bug the alignment shop to get what I wanted.

I'm going the opposite way of you. I'm thinking about some blinggy 20X35's later in the year, after RV season.

I've liked that look, just couldn't afford the wheels.

I've been adjusting my lower control arms to get my caster to what I want.

I know its somewhat easy for most , but with the 94 , getting in there with drill to make hole larger is not a straight shot , cannot get there from either top or bottom , maybe a right angle drill , but the main issue is to make that mod reversible , if & when I sell or retire this truck , take the mod parts with for next truck .

Thats weird....I didn't have to enlarge any holes when I installed my solid steel upgrade..in my 95..Maybe a pic of the hole you have to drill..Maybe I just don't understand...

That's why I mentioned 94 , you have a 95 .
By solid steel , what do mean , the stabilizer or the track bar ?

Again on the 94 they had a smaller tapered ball-joint to frame attachment , that you drill out to but in the bolt that replaces the original ball joint , you may want to look at the instructions , they mention this detail .
This part is welded to frame & if it is drilled out , can no longer put back to stock , and keep trackbar & kit , for next truck .

Diesel Dave, by your alignment printout it looks like they toed the wheels OUT. I am surprised they did this, as it usually has a negative impact on handling and stability. Did they have any explanation about this?

You got me there..I have no idea of the toe out...And by diesel.org its doens't explain it what the standard toe is..I know when I first brought the truck in the pass side tire was wearing on the outside.I know I mentioned to Ian and he said he will look at it...Maybe he made that adjustment to fix the wear...I think it was my fault on the tire wear....Tend to take corners a little to fast...
