1000 hp on fuel????? Do my 2 puffers push enough air for that kind of HP? And 1000 on fuel seems so far out of reach. Let me get over 500 first!

On a side note, PDR used to have a pic of a head cross section with a bit of instructions on porting. Anyone know where I can find good porting info anywhere on the net?

Most of the head porting is pretty straight forward. Clean up the valve bowls and clean/polish the exhaust. the intake side under the plenum is difficult to get to. Just watch the valve seats, as they nick easy. What kinda of grinder stones/cutters you using? I would get one that around 6in long so you can get into the hard to reach spots. I just have ones that are 2in long, and thats just a waste of money. You gonna do any valve seat cutting? How many different cuts you planning on put in? Going back to your rods, so you're not gonna resize the rods but put in new bearings? Do lots of clearance checks (plastic guage). Also weight the big/little ends of the rods, as that free and is just time. Same goes for balance matching everything. Then just give the weights to the crank machinest, do a precision balance (its not that much money) if you do most of the work yourself. You gonna check cam meets the design specs or you just slam her in? A stock 913 pump is good for around low 700's HP, add in nos/methanol, you could get close to 1000's. Didn't maddog truck put up 1000 RWHP on fuel at one of the blackout events. So it can be done.

Maddog is a 12v guy. He definitely isn't running a 12mm pump. IIRC, he has one of Pier's Stoopid pumps.
John, hang onto that 180 pump. There are quite a few who think the 180 is actually better than the 215, since the cam is the same, but doesn't have the retard plungers. Guys are running 11's on stock 160 pumps. 215's are good, but the others seem to do just as well.

My info is from three years ago, so I just remember the quad cab ford conversion running a big DDP pump and big sticks.
I just get cranked seeing a hard running 12v put up the big numbers just like the plug and play crowd.

I have already made a deal with Harry to send my pump back..... There seems to be a fair bit of interest in it. And I don't have a pic of my head today but my buddy ported one exhaust bowl and it looks awesome. Will post a pic in the next day or 2.....

Theres lots of meat that can come out of the exhaust. The ports can be opened up almost .125" all around to match the gasket. I shoudl have taken a before and after picture to show how much.

Lots meat to come out under the valve as well. Around the valve guide. Just smooth the short turn side, as that hurts air flow. Also it get thin on the bottom of exit of the exhaust port (you could find coolant). There info on the competion forum.

Still quite a bit more to be done to this one, but still looking way better than stock.. Would try and explain where I need to take out more, but unless you are there and can see what my hooves are pointing at it is pointless!

And today I had the head washed or hot tanked or whatever they do and from what I can see with my eye are just 2 very small cracks in the head on 2 different exhaust seats. Very small barely visible ones FWIW.
