Looks sweet, way more lift then I would go, but sweet none the less.

I like the double mounts, as that way you can run an empty coilover (just a set of springs with the shaft as a guide, and then a remote bypass to run the actual shock duties, and then an air bump to manage the big hits.

Clay builds some cool stuff, I have used his hiems before, in a single link ranger I built.

Nice truck Luke. Thanks for the pics. I wonder if you could build that front end without all the extra lift. I bet that it would be like floating on a cloud riding in the truck.

Just would be a matter of moving the shock hoop up, and / or using shorter coilovers.

thats right the ride height is just a function of the length of the coilovvers. take the 18" kings out and put in 12" adjust the link length to set the front diff in the correct location again. and set pinion and castor angle. then off you go.

Rob good to hear from ya buddy. The chevy/ford one ton stuff is beefier and seems easier to find. At the end of the day, I really don't care which knuckles go on the truck as long as I get the bigger diameter brakes. I have to figure out the ABS tone ring, as my truck has ABS. Dynatrac sells a ring for their hub free spin kit. I want what you 1st gen have kingpins, my upper ball joint on my driver side is toast and my drag links aren't that great of shape either. I would like to re-design the entire set-up and get rid of the tire wandering that have right now. I'll probably get this build going sometime in the spring.

the dodge first gen 2500 is the same part as the chevy and ford 1-ton , the kings are the same part #'s , i will have to sit down and do a bit a of looking around and see what i can dig up that would work .......

if your ball joint is gone should come down one night to the shop and i will put one in to hold you over , they are not alot of money i just bought all four for mine for 250 bucks

Thanks Rob, I have all the parts to do the rebuild. I might take you up on your offer next year. My schedule is pretty busy until the new year. The chevy knuckles are five bolts for the hub and the ford is four. The spindles are different same goes for the caliper brackets.

do you mean the spindle to knuckles patteren?

IIRC chevy / dodge D60 kingpin knuckles are symetrical 6 bolt and ford are an asymmetrical 5 bolt.

chevy dodge

ford

I do have to hook-up with you guys to get this build going. To make sure that I get all the right pieces for the axle build-up. It will be some mix and matching of dana 60 parts, but it should be one decent front axle when we are done. I have my interior ripped out of the ride right now. I'm building a new stereo system for the truck, in between all the christmas stuff. After that the new twins go on and the front end gets fixed. To much stuff on the go and so so little time

A quick question, the largest Ford rotor is 12.8" if I use a 1992-1997 Ford setup?
