I wanna say you could find all that on Pirate4x4.com. I know Dana's website had BOM info too, but they changed their site from when I was able to find that kind of info about 4 or 5 years ago.

35 spline axles are stronger. The physical lockout is bigger with 30 spline though, since the axle shaft is a smaller diameter. Either way, I don't see you breaking either of them.

$7k for a D60. That is nuts. Must be made of gold!

Are you a member at Pirate4x4? If you are look up the Camo60, it is the closest thing to a 60 made of gold...

Just went and had a look. High pinion pumpkin, Chrom-moly tubing, 40 spline ARB, 40 spline gundrilled shafts, CR-MO yokes, custom spindles, yada yada. A lot more beef for $3k, and it only weighs 350 lbs. Very impressive setup.

Yeah when it was built, 40 spline 60's were unheard of, the arb had to be custom broached for the 40 splines, it was basically the best 60 money could buy.

beef. doesnt look interchangable with other parts though. have to use thier unit bearings and such/.

but mike I got that D60 info from BillaVista's D60 bible on Pirate4x4. its been up their for years.

see the '78-79 Hipi D60 has 18.68" 34.56" inner shafts and the '85-'91.5" Hipi Dord D60 has 15.96" 36.68" inner shafts. see how the pumpkin is slightly more offset to the driverside in the '85-'91 Diffs. that couple inches is quite a bit when you try and put a coil bucket and shock in there. between the housing and the inner C/

The more you think about this stuff, you should just take a chassis like Luke and just put the better looking dodge cab/front and bed onto a super duty chassis. It probably would end up with a better chassis and one heck of a hot looking truck.

Dynatrac told me yesterday that the 35 spline inner would fit into the dodge axle housing? Fact or fiction? I can get the inner shafts for $500.

I think the 2005-2007 Ford Superduties are great looking trucks & 2005 is when Ford redesigned the front suspension & went with front coils similar to Luke's F450 chassis.

Find a 6.0L Powerstroke Superduy, drop in a Cummins CR with the www.destroked.com adapters. I don't think they have all the wiring issues sorted out yet but livable.

The trouble for me would be finding a 6 speed manual Superduty. I do not want an automatic transmission.

I've been to the www.FordCummins.com shop in Missoula, Montana. They had a new Superduty in the parkling lot with a common rail. It was very sweet.

Just upgrade to some (King, or Saw, or Fox or, ect...) Coil overs when you do the axle swap, and then how far over the pumpkin sits is irrelevant.

35 spline shafts fit, just need a new carrier and new seals. EMS (among others) have upgrade kits for the inner shafts.

Brett, I'm probably gonna use king shocks one day down the road, might even think about getting a long arm kit, but the truck has to fit inside my garage.

You think that the coil over would have enough "coil" to keep the mighty cummins bouncing off the pavement. I'm slowly piecing the parts together for the dana 60 build-up. I had to live with that bad upper ball joint yesterday. Man I was all over the road. The secondary hiways that I was driving on had some bad ruts and my drive side tire kept finding the tire/rut grove for most of my trip.

It is the beauty thing about coil overs you can get springs to support nearly anything.

Here is a pick of a BAJA chase truck that a buddy of mine did the manifold for:

Coil overs are the only way to go if you are serious about it, but like everything serious they are not cheap.

WOW, Nice truck, is it a cali front coil kit? I thought that they still use the front springs in the stock location? I like the look of the truck, if I'm real good this year you think santa will put that truck under my tree.

Brett, getting those hoses made-up has been a chore for the new twins set-up. The shop keeps bring in to few parts and have the wrong thread pitch on the fittings. I also have to make up a oil drain for the GT3582R. I got roped into fixing a buddies truck this weekend. He fried his VP this week, of course as I have three working VP sitting on the bench, I was the got-to guy. Ok ok, the P7100 guys can start laughing at us whimpy VP. Drove to Lethbridge this week, man this is a little GT3782R is too small for me. Its hard driving with that little tiny turbo. I might have a need for more power. After christmas I'll get the mach'rs freshen up and that should fix that issue.

The truck in the picture, has a one off Kore setup.

The truck in the video has the Carli Dominator 3.0, setup.

Mopac should have have that oil drain flange in stock.

Sounds like you have had a fun week.
