Border Brokerage & UPS
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I read that you can do youre OWN brokerage instead of paying UPS's exorberant fees. Hopefully this will help you guys out.

thought about that but there are a couple of posts that have info...
"you can do your own brokerage if you live near an international air port I believe, you can file all the paper work for 1 dollar, and just pay gst. Tell ups you are doing your own brokerage, or ship via USPS. "

"There's no charge to file the paperwork, just tell the shipper that you will self clear customs.. Once your parcel arrives at a bonded warehouse, they will contact you and then you will have to get the paperwork and take it to the customs office. You may even be able to do it all by phone or fax. It doesn't have to be an international airport, you can use any Inland office. "
