United Parcel Service CANADA sneaky brokerage fee's
Just a bit of info Folks. beware of shipping anything from the USA to Canada through United Parcel Service. I paid the shipping in USD $ 80 some dollars
and now they have said that was for the USA shipping and now i must pay 80 buck Canadian on receipt of the package (BROKERAGE FEE) This was never implied by the shipper which has already gotten a phone call about it too
the money is minimal but i was told of horror story's of them charging 800 dollars and when it had to be returned they charged 800 more dollars
in my case it is peed me off but the money is small compared to some
beware of United Parcel Service Canada and there hidden fee's

Never ship UPS, always use the Post Office.
But in a case such as this, you just refuse the delivery, simple as that. They will send it back but in a few days it will return, refuse it again and send it back. Usually but not always, the "fees" drop considerably if not completely.
UPS does not want to return anything on their dime and they will do what they have to do deliver it so just keep refusing the delivery. They can't abandon the delivery and they don't want to ship it back...time and weight takes from other deliveries. Just play the game and you will usually come out the winner.
But stick with the Post Office, less headaches and a lot cheaper.

I refused a package from them, told them to send it back when they tried to charge me brokerage on a repaired item (my fuel line). Driver said ok. About three weeks later, its dropped off at the door, no one was home, just left there. About two weeks after that, I get a bill for the brokerage fee. Call and complain, they waived the charges. Now I have a fuel line that I don't need, but atleast no brokerage.

I personally would never send anything by DHL either. They seem to like to take the money for overnight delivery. But deliver it in a week or two. Then Fall back on the clause they have written.
Where my G/F use to work they stopped using DHL, and UPS for the same reason. Delivering Work checks to the wrong address in the wrong city more then once was the breaking point for them.
And charging Brokerage fees on a part you own that was sent in for Warrenty is not correct either. Part of the blame is on the Vendor for how they labeled the package.
If ordering from the US use USPS ground only. Usually onlyl 6 days delivery time.
