There was rust that I got rid of in 1991...But it came back with only 2000 miles driven...Decided to do a real restoration...and not use patch panels but full quarters, wheel wells, trunk panels and lower fender panels....

Buddy, do you have the new quarters and a 220v outlet? You planning on sand blasting? Cool man, don't worry, its gonna get worse before it gets better. Just watch what you sand blast. Blasting is the best, you find rust everywhere. Good and bad. You get to practise welding and some body work. You doing the T/A? Wow, what ya doing for the motor?

Dave, that wheel well looks great for a 2nd Gen F-body.

Have you heard about these guys?

http://www.detroitspeed.com/productp...age_7081cf.htm

No bling just fast & awesome engineered Pro-touring parts.

Now would be the perfect time to sneak in some DetroitSpeed deep mini-tubs.
And those rear drum brakes have to go.

Ok, next up is the "new" Smokey & the Bandit T/A's that Year One put together last year for the 30th anniversary.

BRE = Burt Reynolds Edition. These cars are incredibly engineered.

I love spending other people's money & I always have a long list of cars I would love to build... Joe

I got one quarter panel. You bet...installed 220V when I bought the house in 1995.Even built my own two stage compressor with a huge Devilbiss head(I think,I set the pulley ratio at 21 CFM output) and 7HP baldar motor($50.00 at auction sale) and twin tanks of 140 gallons, and inline refigerated Devibiss air dryer.I don't think I need to much sandblasting because most of the rust will be cut out...

The lip of the well was all rusted off...Started last making a new lip,but found that the price of a new well was less than the worked envolved.I'm getting to old for this stuff...

I had a almost rust free 1969 dodge super bee 383 console bucket car with most of the options. I built a nice resto 440in motor and a race 727 with a 3500 stall with 4.10 gears. Welded in new quarter one side (rust free to me its just a few peices of sheet metal are ok) I had to sell the car. My dream car. I looked for the car two years after, once things got ok. It was a nice car. The wife still wont let me buy another one.

I will buy one but its gonna be a nice one. If you need a hand, I'll help somewhat. You know the curse...its in the blood.

I don't know what to say. Nice car. Man I'm jealous. I missed those days. I remember going to school and everyone had a muscle car and a sexy broad in the car. I had a mighty rusted out (no reseverse) slant six 74 dart. Three bald tires, one new tire. I had a bigger stereo than them but I had a dream.
