And the hole gets bigger...Still have to cut the remainer of the fender plus the truck filler panle.Forgot how bad F bodies rust out....Did I ever start a major project, the sheet metal is starting to get costly...I hope I don't have to do this on the passengers side...

It doesn't look that bad to me from the picture. An easy fix-up. My 69 super bee needed truck extensions, outer wheelwell lip, and a full quarter panel. How does the trunk look? If you get most of that done, it should come together pretty nicely. Nice project buddy. Keep the pictures coming. You left before dropping off that HX-35 and taking that old rear tire of mine.

Nah, I'll come to you house and look at the car. We still didn't get Tate to commit to getting those twins on yet. Talked to Peak and we might not take the 215 pump apart completely. I guess it makes it tuff to rebuild when it comes in bits and pieces. He talked my into buying the 160ft*lbs studs. Might have to get the younger lad to come over and pull the torch wrench on those. I remember the 135ft*lbs was difficult on the back studs. I need a snipe for the 160 ft*lbs. I'm cheap, I just have 1/2in torque wrench. Might have to buy a 3/4in, getting old.

Are you saying you bought those ARP 625 studs? If you have money to burn, send it my way . . .

At five head gaskets, its time for something new. Next step is going for firerings. If this motor can't take 80's, forget 120psi. This motor isn't getting out this one that easy. Its not gonna win that easy. I'm gonna measure everything this time. Worst comes of this, I have to build a new motor. Just for a daily driver ride.
I'm gonna hit it with nos this year, if it can hold together. I haven't figured out if I'm going with a blow-off valve yet.

I'd check that block really well for flatness Mike. That's what the problem was with VT's Freightliner, warped between #2 & 3.

I'm thinking its more to do with protrusion of the orings and its material. I'll put a straight edge on her again. Last time it checked out. I think its more a function on how far I put my right foot into it.

Dave, any updates on the fire chicken ride? I thought about your car on the trip out east? Just making sure you don't forget the firechick. Make it nice and pretty, just like the 1ton.

Your too talented of a man to be chasing women all day long at the mall.

Buddy, if you need a hand I can find a day here or there to help you hang sheet metal. Its been a few days since I did a rear quarter. I did one on the driver side on my old 69 383 superbee plus truck extensions and an outer wheel well. It was kinda like lego's. I sold the car before I got the other side done (I got laid off from Nova, way back when). The buyer just put tons of mud into the passager side and did some sanding. I bought new doors, front fender and new rear quarters. That passager side was so wavey with all the mud, it was kinda like looking into pond after you throw in a rock. I didn't want to put in any mud, but the new owner had other quick cash ideas. Selling that car still haunts me to this day, as I took two years to find the right one. I found one down south for $45k usd, I sold mine for $2500.
