2nd gear clutch squawk on take off....

Ok, I put in a southbend dual disc 3250 in my truck about 5 months ago and now when i take off in 2nd gear unloaded of course the clutch will make a dry squawk or squeek. If I engage slower it won't do it, if I engage for take off a little too quickly in traffic it will really do it. I've never done anything retarded to this clutch like 3rd gear launches or anything, havent raced or sled pulled etc. I know these clutches like to be work a little harder to keep them aggressive but it shouldn't squawk i wouldn't think. Any ideas as to why it's doing this?

Both of mine do this too. A 3rd gear launch seems to clean it up a bit. Same thing when it starts getting grabby.

Clutch still works...but have to do it again...starting to get grabby from city driving...

3rd gear launches are never a good idea with a single disc.

I would agree. The one time I did it with mine it was not a pretty sight. That was the old FE clutch too. When I pulled it out it didn't look to bad but I still remember that metallic smell..
