Tate's the man with the answers for this one. If you decide to go this way and you're looking for parts, I'm going to have an unmolested 180 pump ready to go pretty soon, as well as the gearcase etc.

Roxxx, what tach pick-up does your VE truck use? I don't think that it would be that bad of swap. I'm doing one as well this year. After the pump and gearbox, you'll need a set of injector lines. These days you can find them pretty easy. What type of injectors you thinking about using? You going to adjust the pump any?

Whateve questions you got, comp-d can answer them. If it doesn't, I might be able to fill in the blanks.

I hope I can get it running. I talked to ARMOR about some DDp sticks for this motor and a turbo
I found second truck 1991 non ic 4x4 reg(cheap and in awesome shape) this is the one i would like to 24 valve/P-pump . if so the 180 pump would be plenty. If I can do it, I would more than likely twin it .as far as injectors I don't plan on getting to crazy .The weight of the reg cab 4x4 is around 6800 so quite an advantage .one of my buddy's just bought a rolling chassis 1996 or so reg cab 4x4 ,he is trying to convince me to put a 1 st gen body on it with the newer running gear
so will have to choose a path an stick to it. one way or another the original 1St gen will be getting a body next year
I still might just 24 valve this one. I really want a sleeper mess with the high buck trucks would be kinda fun

Common rail would be cool in a 1st gen, no one would expect it.

I have an 03 short block engine, cheap, and available. I would still run a P pump on the 24v. Kinda low on any good 24v heads.

Painless makes a electronic kit to get the common rail to work., to me its tons of $$$ for what you get.

Any specs on the injectors? Tate just had a pump built up, so it will be interesting to see how well it works.

Which turbos you going with..
