Used 2010
Need a new truck, used 2010
My 07 2500 5.9 was totalled earlier this week so im in the market for a new to me used truck to replace the 07 I bought new. Found a used 2010 mega cab with 21000 miles for $20k, just doesnt seem right, anything I should be looking out for with this year, Im assuming it has a 6.7 in it?
Thanks for the help

Yeah seems really fishy. I bet it was wrecked pretty good, or was in a flood.
But yeah, it's got the 6.7 in it. I'd run the vin to see if the title is salvaged, and if there's even a warranty left.

That is way to low, I just saw a pair of 2010 at the dealer, on has 14k and they want 45k for it, Dually auto with Cloth interior. The other was an Auto, cloth interior SRW and they wanted like 42k for it.
Recieved an email from the seller, had a feeling that if it was legit, this might be one scenario.
Seller is female, just divorced, truck is in her name, she doesnt have a license and wants to unload it fast. Says its clear title, accident free, no liens or loans.
Would the DMV or dealership be best place to get info on the VIN. Will a carfax report show any of these problems?

Yeah, Idve been worried too. That truck should have been north of 30k
James, read my write up on deleteing the 4th gen. It explain to you how to get the 6.7 breathing right. It does come at the expense of your warranty. If you have a dealer that will work with you you may get some help.
Thing I would be concerned with the most when looking to buy a 6.7 was looking at all of the emissions system. See if it looks like it has been removed. If at a dealer, make them hook it up to Starscan and get the key count. If its low, or non existent, it was most likely programmed. Neither of these things mean anything catastrophic. Just a hurdle you may encounter if you want to keep warranty.
Other than that, inspect as if buying a normal used truck. Leaks, tranny slippage, etc....
Sorry to hear that your truck got totaled. Sucks man.
